Western civ day 3 Today we started class off with review, we went over Jared Diamond. then we said the prayer, This is the day the lord had made let us rejoice and be glad in it. then we took pop quiz. i do not think i did very well on this because i was really tired during the video and was not paying attention. I did better than i thought i would have but i still could have done better. It was only 6 questions so if u get one wrong u already have a 85%. After this we were reminded again to get a composition notebook. then w were told do do any blog that we have  not done yet.  And that is all we did today.

Second day of western civ Today in the second class of western civ we watched a video called Guns, Germs, and Steel.  The video was about Jared Diamond who visited Papua New Guinea and got to know the people who live there.  Jared Diamond is a professor, author and a biologist.  In Papua New Guinea, people have been living there for 40 yeas and live the same way.   In the movie they told us that all civilizations have advanced technology, large population, and well organized work forces in common. Everyone was hunters and gatherers.  Wild sago is a big part of the Guinean's food and diet but it is low on protein and can't be store for very long.  Two big grains they grew were barely and wheat.  Draa is an early villages in the world.  One interesting thing that I learned during the video was that a granary is where the grains like wheat and barely are stored.  It is shaped like an oval and is made of mud.  This is what we did...

First of Western Civ Today was our first day of western civilization, we learned some new stuff about this class. The first thing was getting assigned seats, my seat is OK but i would rather sit in the back. Then we learned how to set up our blogs and do them everything submitted before 12 am, which i am doing right now. We went over what we will be learning in the class over the semester. In my opinion i think this type of materiel is pretty boring and it would make it better if we did more group projects to interact with our friends while learning. I hope we have a good semester in Western Civ
